A Rough Start for the Brew Crew 🍻

Wow, Brewers fans, that was definitely a rollercoaster of emotions. Our boys took on the Cincinnati Reds tonight, and it was a tough one from the start. The Reds opened the scoring in the top of the 1st inning with Gavin Lux's double bringing in Elly De La Cruz. Brice Turang gave us hope in our first at-bat with a single and later stole second, but unfortunately, we couldn't capitalize on it as Jackson Chourio, Christian Yelich, and William Contreras all struck out swinging.

Fighting Back in the Middle Innings 🔥

Things looked grim when the Reds extended their lead to 7-0 by the top of the 4th inning with homers from Christian Encarnacion-Strand, Blake Dunn, and Jose Trevino. But our guys didn't go down without a fight! Sal Frelick's incredible triple followed by Oliver Dunn's sac fly finally got us on the scoreboard in the bottom of the 4th. In the 5th inning, the Brew Crew staged a massive comeback, scoring 4 runs. Frelick's single, with a fielding error by right fielder Jake Fraley, allowed a flurry of scores and brought the game closer, with our boys clawing back to 5-7.

A Fighting Spirit Until the Very End 💪

Even after the Reds extended their lead to 10-5 in the 7th inning, Oliver Dunn's crucial double in the bottom of the 7th brought the game to 7-10. Our guys didn't give up. Sal Frelick was impressive throughout, ending with 4 hits, including a double and a triple. But unfortunately, despite several attempts to rally late in the 9th, the game concluded with a hard-fought 7-11 loss.

Proud of our Brewers' fighting spirit! Next time, we'll get them! Always a proud Milwaukee fan 🍻 Go Brew Crew!
