A Promising Start

What a game, Reds fans! Our boys took on the Brewers, and we came out victorious with an impressive 11-7 win. It all started with TJ Friedl kicking things off with a single, despite getting caught stealing later. But don't fret, because Elly De La Cruz got on base and scored the first run, thanks to a double from Gavin Lux. We closed the top of the first with a 1-0 lead. 🚀

Bats on Fire

The second inning was a blast! Blake Dunn hit a solo homer, and Jose Trevino reached base, setting up TJ Friedl for a 2-run homer. By the end of the second, we were cruising with a 4-0 lead. And no worries, Reds fans, we extended that lead with an unforgettable fourth inning: Christian Encarnacion-Strand smacked a colossal 451-foot homer. Trevino added a 2-run homer of his own! We were up 7-0 and it looked like the Brewers were struggling to catch their breath. 💥

Tension Near the End

The Brewers fought back in the fifth, scoring 4 runs partially due to some defensive mishaps on our part. They managed to close the gap to 7-5. However, the Reds patiently padded the lead again. In the 7th inning, De La Cruz got the job done, driving in two runs followed by a sacrifice fly from Jeimer Candelario. We regained control at 10-5. 🎯

Closing It Out

Into the final innings, the Brewers brought the score to 10-7, but our guys stayed composed! Gavin Lux provided the insurance run in the 9th that just sealed the deal. Lucas Sims and our bullpen were rock solid in shutting down the Brew Crew in crucial moments. Pagán closed out the 9th safely. 🎉

Reds fans, this was a game to savor! Our lineup and pitchers rose to the occasion, delivering a masterclass in offense and resilience. Let's keep this momentum and show how unstoppable the Cincinnati Reds truly are! Go Reds! 🤩⚾
