Tough Night for the Crew
Hey Brewers Nation, it was a frustrating night as our beloved crew lost a tight contest against the Cincinnati Reds, 3-1. Even though the scoreboard didn’t reflect our heart and hustle, there were still some solid moments worth cheering for.
Our Lone Run
In the 3rd inning, our bats finally came alive! Christian Yelich laced a double to right field. With two outs, Brice Turang came through with a clutch single to center, scoring Yeli and giving us an early 1-0 lead. It was great to see Yelich stretching it out on the base paths and Turang hitting in the clutch!
Reds Strike Back
Unfortunately, the Reds responded in the 4th inning with a game-tying single from Spencer Steer. Then, in the 6th inning, they took the lead, and eventually tacked on another run with a sacrifice fly from Tyler Stephenson. The 3-1 lead held until the end, despite our efforts to rally.
Wrap-Up
It’s always tough to see the Brewers struggle at the plate, but we got to remember it’s a long season. There was a lot of fight with Jackson Chourio showing his wheels stealing a base
