A Tough Day for the Reds in Philly
Well, Reds fans, it was a bit of a rough outing for us in Philadelphia today. But let's talk about the highlights first. Will Benson gave us a reason to cheer with a bomb to right-center in the 5th, traveling 403 feet. That homer put us ahead, even if just for a brief moment!A Brief Lead and Missed Opportunities
We managed to keep it a scoreless struggle until the 5th inning, with Santiago Espinal and Elly De La Cruz showing some hustle to get on base, and Austin Hays doubling to maintain the momentum. But we just couldn't capitalize on those opportunities with runners in scoring position.
Phillies' Power Surge
Unfortunately, the Phillies woke up in the bottom of the 5th with Edmundo Sosa hitting a homer to right, pulling the game even. And things took a downturn in the 6th when Alec Bohm launched a two-run homer, shifting the score 3-1 in their favor. A costly fielding error in the 8th allowed Trea Turner on base, just before Kyle Schwarber's two-run homer widened the gap us.
Fighting Till the End
We tried rallying in the 9th with TJ Friedl getting a single right, but it just wasn't our day with Tyler Stephenson and Matt McLain unable to get on base. Final score: 5-1 in favor of the Phillies. It's disappointing, but we've seen our team bounce back before, and we'll do it again. Let's go Reds!

On to the next game, where we'll surely aim to put our best foot forward. Keep the faith, Reds Nation! We've got this!
