A Tough Loss in Extra Innings
First, let's give a shout-out to our Guardians' pitching crew who kept the game tight. Despite some promising moments, Cleveland couldn't quite seal the deal. We started strong, but the Diamondbacks managed to snatch it in the 10th inning with a 2-3 loss for us.
Early Runs Gave Us Hope!
Steven Kwan got us started right out of the gate with a single, eventually leading to Bo Naylor grounding out and Kwan coming around to score. CJ Kayfus followed suit in the 2nd inning with a triple. That got us up 2-1 early, giving us good momentum. Go, Guardians!
Diamondbacks' Comeback
We managed to hold the lead until the bottom of the 9th when Lourdes Gurriel Jr. homered to left, tying the game at 2-2.
The nail-biting moments continued into the 10th inning when Adrian Del Castillo delivered the final blow with a single, bringing home Smith to secure Arizona's 3-2 win.Even with the loss, our Guardians showed resilience, and we look forward to coming back stronger.
