Tough Night for the D-backs
The Arizona Diamondbacks had a rough evening against the Cleveland Guardians, ending up on the wrong side of a 7-0 scoreline. It was a challenging game from start to finish with our bats never quite catching fire and the Guardians finding their groove early.Early Struggles
The game kicked off with an explosive start from the Guardians. Right in the top of the 1st inning, Chase DeLauter hit a massive homer to center, promptly followed by another homer from Jose Ramirez. Despite our best efforts, notably a walk drawn by Geraldo Perdomo in the bottom of the first, we couldn’t quite get things moving offensively. The Guardians quickly jumped to a 2-0 lead, and we struggled to close the gap.Guardians Keep the Pressure On
Our pitchers rotated diligently, with Kelly, Campbell, Ginkel, Loáisiga, and others playing key roles, but the Guardians managed to keep the pressure on. In the 3rd inning, Jose Ramirez, already hot from his earlier at-bat, drove in Kwan making it 3-0. Later, DeLauter hit another homer in the 5th to further stretch their lead. The addition of Rhys Hoskins's double in the seventh only made the situation tougher.Missed Opportunities
Throughout the game, we had glimmers of opportunity. Pavin Smith managed to notch a couple of singles, and Jordan Lawlar earned a walk in the 3rd. However, the Guardians’ defense sealed up every crack. Our last few innings saw solid contact from Valdez and Serretti, but both ended in strikeouts, wrapping up a challenging evening with a shutout. Onward and upward, D-backs!Let's Regroup!
Today clearly wasn't our day, but let's shake it off and prepare for the next game. With our lineup’s potential, it's only a matter of time before we bounce back. Keep the faith, Diamondbacks fans!Scoreboard for Guardians @ Diamondbacks (March 24th, 2026)
