A Tough Loss at Home
Greetings, Orioles fans!
Well, it wasn't the outcome we were hoping for, as our beloved Birds fell to the Cleveland Guardians 6-3 in a challenging match. While the boys put up a fight, the Guardians took control early, and we couldn't quite catch up, despite some flashes of brilliance.Early Defense and a Guardians Lead
The first couple of innings were a pitching and defensive face-off, with both teams keeping each other off the scoreboard. Our guys did well to hold the line initially, with Jordan Westburg, Adley Rutschman, and Tyler O'Neill standing their ground.
But into the third, the Guardians managed to sneak in a run off a sacrifice fly. Our defense slipped a little, giving them the edge they needed. 
Mullins Sparks Hope with a Homer
The Guardians capitalized further in the 5th inning, widening their lead with a homer from Kwan. Things looked up slightly when our star Cedric Mullins smashed a fantastic homer to deep center in the 7th. Yay for Mullins!
His solo shot was definitely a highlight, lighting up Camden Yards even for a brief moment.A Late Rally Falls Short
Despite trailing 6-1, the 8th inning gave us some hope. Gunnar Henderson and Ryan Mountcastle combined efforts with consecutive doubles, bringing the score to 6-3. Gary Sánchez kept it going, adding another run with a well-timed single, but alas, the rally ended there.
In the final inning, Heston Kjerstad and Ryan O'Hearn stepped in as pinch hitters, trying to spark some late magic. While O'Hearn got on base, the damage was already done, and the Guardians closed it out.
