An Afternoon of Tension at Wrigley Field
Hey Cubs fans!
What a nail-biter of a game we had at Wrigley Field today, as our beloved Cubs faced off against the Cleveland Guardians. Both teams brought their A-game in what turned out to be a pitchers' duel. The game went deep into extra innings before our Cubbies finally clinched it with a 1-0 victory! 
Pitchers Shine Bright
This was definitely a day for the pitchers. Both teams struggled to get much of anything going offensively. Credit to our bullpen who kept the Guardians completely off the board. Special shout-out to Pressly and Flexen who were like a brick wall in the late innings.
Also, our catcher Reese McGuire had a huge moment in the 1st inning, catching Kwan stealing. 
That play set the tone defensively, and we remained rock-solid from then on.Heart-Stopping Finish
The game was hanging in the balance until the bottom of the 10th inning. Following a magnificent pitching exhibition, Michael Busch gets us to the edge with a groundout pushing Hoerner to third. Then, Matt Shaw stepped up and sealed the deal with a sacrificial fly to center field.
Nico Hoerner made the run home to give us the hard-fought win. It was the kind of victory that makes being a Cubs fan worthwhile. Today was all about excellent pitching, steady defense, and clutch plays. Feeling proud to be a Cub after such an outstanding performance. Go Cubs Go!
