White Sox Offensive Firepower Ignites Early
What a performance from our boys in the white and black today as the Chicago White Sox triumphed over the Cleveland Guardians with a final score of 6-4!
The South Siders wasted no time setting the tone early in the game. In the bottom of the first inning, Mike Tauchman smacked a single to get things rolling. Then, Lenyn Sosa delivered a powerful homer to left, driving Tauchman home and lighting up the scoreboard! But that wasn't all from this dynamic inning—Colson Montgomery came through with a monster home run to right, extending our lead to 3-0. What an electric start! 
️Stellar Pitching and Key Contributions
The Guardians managed to break through in the top of the 4th with a solo homer from Kyle Manzardo, but our pitchers stood firm. In the bottom of the 3rd, Curtis Mead and Kyle Teel teamed up to score Luis Robert Jr. and Montgomery, pushing our lead to 5-0.
Although Cleveland clawed back with a couple of runs in the 6th, the White Sox responded in the bottom of that inning. A key sacrifice fly by Sosa brought Josh Rojas home, grabbing another run to make it 6-3. 
Closing the Game in Style
Manzardo hit another solo homer in the 7th, inching the Guardians closer, but relievers Leasure, Booser, and G. Taylor shut down any hope for a Cleveland comeback. The defensive show in the 9th inning was nothing short of spectacular, as our closer made quick work of the Guardians with three consecutive outs.
Tauchman was commandingly consistent throughout the game, tallying multi-hits and constantly pushing the Guardians to their limits. It was a great all-around display from our White Sox! Here's to many more wins like this one!
