Hey Guardians fans! It was a tough game against the Cincinnati Reds, ending in a 4-2 loss. Let's break down what happened.Early Struggles
We couldn't get much going in the first inning. Steven Kwan, Tyler Freeman, and Jose Ramirez all went down without much trouble. The Reds jumped to an early lead with a solo homer by Jeimer Candelario. We Fought Back!
In the top of the third, we managed to tie the game. After a couple of walks and a hit by pitch, David Fry took a walk that brought Kwan home. A big moment! Jose Ramirez and Josh Naylor kept the pressure on, providing us with chances.Taking the Lead!
We took a lead in the fifth inning with some clutch hitting. Ramirez singled, and Naylor followed up to set the stage. Andres Gimenez's groundout allowed Ramirez to score – it felt like things were turning in our favor. The Reds Respond
Unfortunately, the Reds responded in the sixth inning. Will Benson and TJ Friedl got on base, setting up Candelario's second homer of the night, a three-run shot that shifted the momentum back to them.Closing Struggles
Despite our efforts, we couldn’t get things done late in the game. Joel Díaz finished strong for the Reds, and Kyle Manzardo's pinch-hitting couldn't spark a rally. It was a tough loss but we can take away some positives from our upcoming games.Next Time Guardians!
