Guardians' Tough Day at the Plate
Hey, fellow Guardians fans. Don't you just hate it when the bats stay quiet?
Our boys took on the Tigers today, but alas, it wasn't our day. Despite a few sparks here and there, we couldn't manage to cross the plate, and we fell to the Tigers, 3-0.Highlights and Standouts
Let's start with the positives: Steven Kwan managed to reach base a couple of times, once on an infield single and another due to a throwing error by the Tigers' shortstop. It's always nice to see Kwan doing his thing at the top of the order. Josh Naylor and Brayan Rocchio also had some good hits, with Naylor singling to right and Rocchio getting on base with a single in the 5th. But man, we just couldn't bring them around! David Fry had a rough day, striking out twice. This just wasn't his night.Pitching Struggles
A shoutout to our pitchers who did their best to keep us in the game. However, that first inning where Riley Greene singled and drove in a run definitely set us back. Torkelson also managed to get one off us in the 6th with a double to left that brought home another run. It's tough out there, but I believe in our rotation to bounce back next time!Well, folks, here's hoping for a comeback in the next game. Keep those spirits up, Guardians fans!
