Hey there fellow Padres fans! We just witnessed a stellar performance from our team, shutting out the Cleveland Guardians in an impressive 7-0 victory. Our pitching staff was on fire tonight, mowing down the opposition and keeping their bats cold.

The excitement kicked off in the bottom of the 4th inning when our rookie sensation Jackson Merrill smashed a solo homer deep to center field, breaking the scoreless tie and giving us the momentum we needed. That 411-foot bomb was a sight to behold and got the entire stadium on their feet!

The 5th inning saw us adding two more runs to the tally. Jose Iglesias sparked the inning by reaching base and later scoring off a sacrifice fly from none other than Fernando Tatis Jr.. Then, Luis Arraez contributed a crucial RBI single, putting us 3-0 up. But we didn’t stop there, folks! In subsequent innings, the Padres dug deeper, exploiting Guardian errors and benefiting from clutch plays to pile on four more runs, finishing with an emphatic 7-0 victory.
