Guardians' Bats Struggle Against Padres Pitching​
Though Austin Hedges gave us hope with another homer in the 3rd, things got a little tough for us at the plate after that. Despite Carlos Santana's single and double, and Jose Ramirez continuing his excellent game with a double and another single, the Padres' pitching held us at bay. There were a few missed opportunities for our hitters to capitalize, but it just wasn't our day offensively.Defensive Woes and Padres' Offensive Push​
It's hard not to mention the frustrating 2nd inning, where things spiraled a bit in favor of the Padres. Gavin Sheets and Jason Heyward did some damage, and a few key mistakes allowed the Padres to take a solid lead. The struggles on defense and lack of offensive momentum made it challenging to stage a comeback. As the innings went by, the Padres continued to pile on the runs, eventually leading to a 7-2 finish.Let's keep our chins up, Guardians fans!
