Rays' Early Lead
Our Tampa Bay Rays took the lead right from the get-go! With a throwing error by the Guardians' shortstop, Junior Caminero got on base, setting the stage. Christopher Morel then came in clutch with a single to left field, bringing Caminero home.

The defense was absolutely stellar through the first eight innings! Our pitchers kept the Guardians from doing any damage thanks to some phenomenal strikeouts and a well-coordinated outfield. In the fourth inning, Carson Williams placed a perfect infield single that enabled Christopher Morel to cross home one more time. The sixth inning brought even more glory as Josh Lowe executed a brilliant fielder's choice to let Morel score, followed by a sacrifice bunt from Carson Williams that gave us a 4-0 lead. Even in the ninth inning, when the Guardians threatened a comeback with solo homers by Jose RamĂrez and Kyle Manzardo, our bullpen stood firm. Kudos to Pete Fairbanks for closing out the game and securing the win. It was a close one, but we held steady for a 4-2 victory. Way to go, Rays!
