Rough Finish for the Rockies
What a tough loss for our Colorado Rockies today as they took on the Cincinnati Reds!
The game started off with quite a bang for us in the top of the 3rd inning, when Ryan Ritter knocked a homer to left, bringing in Yanquiel Fernández with him and getting us the lead with a 2-1 score.

Our squad held onto that lead through the heart of the game. In the top of the 7th inning, Fernández really came through again, doubling to right field and bringing Brenton Doyle home, putting us up 3-1. It seemed like we had the momentum on our side—and the fans sure were loving it!
We were really feeling confident until that fateful bottom of the 9th.Heartbreak in the Ninth
Unfortunately, the Reds had other plans for the game’s outcome. In the bottom of the 9th, Will Benson tripled and tied the game by bringing in Spencer Steer. Our hearts sank as a fielding error by Orlando Arcia allowed Benson to score, ending the game with a 4-3 win for Cincinnati.
Tough break, Rockies, but we’ll bounce back! Let’s keep our heads up for the next game.
