Guardians Start Strong in the 1st
What a thrilling game at Progressive Field this evening!
The Cleveland Guardians clinched a convincing 5-0 victory over the Colorado Rockies. Our bats were hot right from the get-go. In the bottom of the first inning, after a double from José Ramírez lined to left, David Fry hammered a fantastic two-run homer, bringing Ramírez safely home. An electrifying start!Keeping the Pressure On
The Rockies couldn't find space to breathe as our pitching staff kept them at bay with precision and determination. The Guardians weren't done yet. Shoutout to Brayan Rocchio in the fourth inning, who extended our lead with a sacrifice fly that sent Fry across home plate. Our lead was bolstered to 3-0!
Finishing in Style!
It was time to put this game to bed in the eighth inning when the Guardians added to the board in style. Kyle Manzardo drove in Steven Kwan with a single, and Carlos Santana wasn't going to be left out, sending Ramírez safely home with a double. That stretched the lead to 5-0, the perfect finishing touch.
Smith then sealed the shutout quickly dispatching the Rockies lineup in the final frame with perfect, lights-out pitching. Brilliant plays all around! Our Guardians were on
