Tough Day for the Rockies
It's always a little disappointing when the Rockies take a loss, especially when it’s without a single run to cheer about. Despite our enthusiasm, the game against the Guardians didn’t quite go our way, with the Rockies falling 0-5.
Struggles at the Plate
The Rockies lineup today had some tough luck against the Guardians' pitching. In the top of the 1st, we saw Tyler Freeman, Ezequiel Tovar, and Hunter Goodman going down in quick succession. It wasn't until the top of the 4th when Freeman managed to single to center, but unfortunately, he was later caught stealing.
Guardians' Early Advantage
The Guardians quickly took advantage when they got to bat, with Jose Ramirez hitting a double that lit the way for David Fry's 383-foot homer to left, bringing the score to 2-0 before we even noticed! Despite some solid efforts from Kris Bryant and others at the mound, the Guardians expanded their lead with more strategic hitting throughout the game.Rockies' Adversity Continues
Into the 8th, only a few Rockies had reached base. Warming Bernabel snuck a single through in the 7th, but sadly, no one could capitalize to turn it into a run. In the end, the Guardians put up 5 runs, including a late surge with Kyle Manzardo and Carlos Santana driving in more.Looking Ahead
As disheartening as it was not to score, we know our Rockies will shake it off and fight back stronger in the next game. Let’s keep backing our boys and hope for a more favorable outcome next time!
