Explosive First Inning
What a game, fellow Tigers fans!
The Tigers started off with a bang in the bottom of the 1st. Parker Meadows lined out to center, but Riley Greene got us on the board with a homer to right field. Soon after, Matt Vierling singled to right before Kerry Carpenter tripled, bringing Vierling home. Spencer Torkelson kept the momentum going with an RBI single, and the real kicker came when Trey Sweeney smashed a three-run homer! By the end of the first inning, we were sitting pretty at 6-0. What an electric start! 
️Solid Pitching and Defense
Our pitchers were rock solid today. Despite a solo homer by McMahon in the 2nd inning, we continued to keep the Rockies at bay. After Mize allowed a few hits in the 5th inning, Garrett Holton stepped in and quickly extinguished the threat. Then Will Vest came in and closed things out smoothly with Jason Foley finishing off the 9th inning. Fabulous work from our pitching staff!
Rockies Rally Halted
The Rockies showed some resistance in the 5th inning, cutting our lead to 7-4. However, Holton's crucial entrance, followed by tight defenses and clutch pitching from Vest and Foley, ensured they wouldn’t get any closer. Keeping them scoreless through the latter innings was crucial for maintaining our lead. Big shoutout to our bullpen for holding it down!
Key Performers
Today belonged to Riley Greene, who not only hit a homer to start our run but also contributed a key sacrifice fly in the 4th. Kerry Carpenter was equally stellar, with a triple, a double, and an RBI single. Special mention to Trey Sweeney, hammering that three-run homer, which effectively put us out of reach of the Rockies.
Final Thoughts
