An Exciting Start for the Royals 
The Royals came out swinging in the first inning against the Rockies, showing their Kansas City spirit! 
Michael Massey got things rolling with a double, setting the stage for MJ Melendez to drive him home with a single to right. The excitement didn't stop there as Nick Loftin crushed a double that brought Melendez across the plate. With a strong start, our Royals were up 2-0 by the end of the first inning. Go Royals! 
Rockies Battle Back

Unfortunately, the Rockies weren’t going to let us have all the fun. The second inning saw Nick Martini hit a solo homer followed by a two-run double from Adael Amador, pushing the Rockies ahead 3-2. Despite Hunter Dozier's efforts, the Rockies extended their lead in the 4th inning with a few key hits. Nevertheless, our lineup kept battling, and Harold Castro added another run for the Royals in the bottom of the 4th, narrowing the score to 4-3 in favor of Colorado. 
A Tense Battle to the End 
As the game continued, Nick Martini further extended the Rockies' lead with another homer in the 5th, making it 6-3. But our Royals never gave up! Melendez continued to shine, bringing in a run in the 5th. In the 8th inning, the Royals launched a rally with Nelson Velázquez making waves, leading to a wild pitch that allowed us to inch closer with the score at 7-6. Despite our valiant efforts in the bottom of the 9th, the Rockies managed to hold us off for a close-paced victory. Tough loss, but our Royals showed great resilience and spirit throughout the game! 
We'll come back stronger next time! Let's go Royals!
