Rockies Edge Dodgers in Tough Loss
Hey Dodgers fans, it's a bummer but we fell to the Rockies 6-3 last night at home. We had some shining moments, especially that sweet homer by Mookie Betts, but it wasn’t enough to carry us to victory.Early Struggles on the Mound
The game started on a rough note with Walker Buehler giving up a run in the first inning due to some unfortunate wild pitches. The Rockies' Charlie Blackmon scored, putting us down 1-0 early. A two-run double by Ezequiel Tovar in the second inning made it 3-0, not the start we wanted .Betts' Blasts and a Comeback Attempt
We got something going in the third inning with Shohei Ohtani drawing a walk and Mookie Betts stepping up with a clutch 2-run homer to make it 3-2. Later in the fourth, Max Muncy walked and Hunter Feduccia singled him in to tie it up 3-3. Our boys showed some serious fight .Rockies Regain the Lead
Unfortunately, Ryan McMahon hit a solo shot in the fifth to put the Rockies ahead 4-3. Despite some hustle on the bases with Betts stealing second and Teoscar Hernández drawing a walk, we couldn’t capitalize and left runners stranded.Late Inning Woes
In the top of the 9th, Blackmon hit a crucial 2-run homer off Daniel Hudson, which extended their lead to 6-3. We had a glimmer of hope in the bottom half when Ohtani singled and stole second, but Max Muncy struck out swinging with the bases loaded to end the game. Ouch .Looking Forward
We saw some flashes of brilliance tonight, and Freddie Freeman stayed hot with the bat going 2-for-4, but we need more consistent hitting and impressive pitching to bounce back. Let’s keep our heads up, stay positive, and get ready for the next game. Go Dodgers! ️Scoreboard for Rockies @ Dodgers (September 22nd, 2024)
