Rockies Take Down the Marlins in Dramatic Victory!
What a game! Our Colorado Rockies triumphed over the Miami Marlins with a final score of 6-4. It was an intense journey, full of ups and downs, but the Rockies showed grit and determination to secure the win. Let's dive into some of the key moments that got us there.
Strong Start and Big Hits
Right off the bat, in the top of the 1st inning, we got things rolling with Hunter Goodman who's single put us on base. Thairo Estrada came through with a clutch double to left, allowing Goodman to score and giving us an early lead. Despite some bumps, including a fielding error that allowed the Marlins to take the lead 3-1 at the end of the inning, our team didn’t let their confidence wane!
The Comeback in Full Swing
The real excitement began in the top of the 5th when Goodman swung big, launching a two-run homer to center field, turning the tide and putting us up 5-4. Our spirits were high and our momentum unstoppable. Another solid homer from Goodman (418 feet no less!) was exactly what we needed to seal our dominance.
Securing the Win
In the top of the 9th, Keston Hiura’s double laid the groundwork for expanding our lead. Sam Hilliard rose to the occasion with a double of his own, driving Hiura across home plate and cementing the final score at 6-4.
With Seth Halvorsen and Zach Agnos on the mound, alongside efficiency behind the plate, we kept the Marlins in check, closing out the bottom of the 9th inning with strategic fielding to finish strong.
Hats off to our Rockies! We kept our cool, played strategically, and the camaraderie and resilience on the field truly shone through. Who else is ready to carry this energy into the next game? Go Rockies!
