A Tough Battle: Brewers vs. Rockies
Hey Brewers fans! What a rollercoaster of a game tonight against the Colorado Rockies! As a Brewers fan, I have to say, it was both thrilling and heart-wrenching, but there were plenty of reasons to stay optimistic!
The Highlights
The game started off slow, with both teams scoreless through the first five innings. But things got heated in the 6th inning when Sal Frelick smashed a homer to right center, giving us the first lead of the game at 1-0. Not to be outdone, Christian Yelich followed with his own homer to left, pushing us to a well-fought 2-0 lead!Continued Drama and The Race to the Finish
Despite our two-run lead, the Rockies slowly crept back in the game, closing the gap with a couple of crucial hits. Things got tense in the 9th when Rockies player Orlando Arcia hit a game-tying homer.
We fought fiercely, taking the game to extra innings. The 10th inning saw more action, with Frelick scoring on a wild pitch, bringing the game to a nail-biting 3-3 tie. The Rockies, unfortunately, capitalized in the 11th, bringing home the winning run to edge us out with a 4-3 victory.
Looking Ahead
Though we fell short, tonight’s game showcased the resilience of our team. Sal Frelick and Christian Yelich delivered clutch performances, and our bullpen put up a tough fight.
