Tough Day in the Bronx 🗽

Rockies fans, it was a tough one today as our boys faced off against the Yankees and came up short with a final score of 3-10.

First Inning Hope 🌟

We started off strong in the top of the 1st when Charlie Blackmon walked and moved to third on an infield single by Ezequiel Tovar. A throwing error by Chisholm Jr. allowed Blackmon to score, giving us an early lead. However, the Yankees quickly answered back with a two-run homer by Aaron Judge that put them in front.

Fighting Back 🤜🤛

Despite the early setback, Brenton Doyle doubled in the 3rd and Drew Romo singled in the 4th to bring the score to 4-2. We showed some resilience again in the 5th when McMahon’s double brought home Doyle, cutting the Yankees’ lead to just one run.

Seventh Inning Disaster 💔

The game took a decisive turn in the bottom of the 7th as the Yankees hit three consecutive homers by Juan Soto, Aaron Judge, and Giancarlo Stanton, extending their lead to 7-3.

Ninth Inning Rally Attempt 💪

We tried to mount a late comeback in the top of the 9th with a single from Nolan Jones, but it wasn't meant to be. We were unable to capitalize and the game ended in an unfortunate loss. A special shoutout to Charlie Blackmon, who walked twice, and Brenton Doyle for their contributions today.

Final Thoughts 🤔

It’s always tough seeing our Rockies fall, especially to the Yankees on the road. Despite the loss, there were some bright spots and moments where we showed real fight. Let's keep our heads up and move on to the next game. Go Rockies! 🏔️💜
