Early Struggles
The start had us biting our nails, not gonna lie. The Rockies took an early lead in the top of the first, capitalizing on a throwing error by JJ Bleday. They managed to extend their lead to 2-0, leaving us scoreless after the first inning. The Rockies seemed to have an answer for every move we made, stretching their lead to 4-0 by the middle of the 6th. Our offense struggled to find its rhythm, and it looked like one of those nights where nothing would go our way.![Face with steam from nose :triumph: 😤](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f624.png)
The Turnaround
But then, the bottom of the 7th inning came around, and the A's started showing signs of life. Kyle McCann doubled, sparking a bit of hope, and Max Schuemann singled to bring McCann home, putting us on the board. However, it was the bottom of the 8th when J.D. Davis hit a 399-foot homer to left center that truly ignited the comeback, cutting the Rockies' lead to a single run. The atmosphere was electric!![High voltage :zap: ⚡](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/26a1.png)
