Victory for the Friar Faithful! 
Hey Padres fans, what a game! Our boys managed to pull off a convincing 9-6 victory against the Colorado Rockies. The energy at Petco Park was electrifying, and our San Diego Padres did not disappoint.Dominating Start 
The game started strong for us. In the first inning, Fernando Tatis Jr. got on base with a single, and it wasn’t long before Jake Cronenworth and José Iglesias brought in a couple more runs. By the end of the second inning, our Padres surged ahead with Jackson Merrill smashing a home run that brought home two more runners. We were already up 6-0 by the end of the second inning, and the Padres' strong bats set the tone early! 
Rockies Battle Back, But We Hold On! 
The Rockies tried to make a comeback, bolstered by Mickey Moniak's powerful homers in both the fourth and the sixth innings, reducing our lead to 7-6. It got a bit tense there as the Rockies came within striking distance in the 7th, but our relief pitchers provided spectacular support with no more Colorado runs after the sixth. Sealing the Win 
The 8th inning was incredibly important and Mason McCoy and Fernando Tatis Jr. got on base again with smart playing. Gavin Sheets then came through with a clutch ground-rule double, sending both McCoy and Tatis Jr. home and giving us some breathing room at 9-6. Finally, Robert Suarez closed out the top of the 9th with great pitching, leaving the Rockies scoreless to end the game and solidify our victory. The Friar Faithful left Petco Park with our spirits high! 
It's always a great day when the Padres come out on top. Let’s keep this momentum going, and Go Padres!
