Tough Outing in San Francisco

Rockies fans, the game against the Giants felt like a tough one from start to finish. Despite our hopes and fights, we fell 0-4 in San Francisco. The Giants had their bats ready, while we struggled to find openings in their defense. Our players gave it their all, but the breaks didn't go our way today. 😞

Early Challenges

Starting off, we saw Brenton Doyle draw a walk in the first inning, showing patience at the plate. Unfortunately, an attempt to steal second base led to a quick out. Jordan Beck and Hunter Goodman couldn’t find a way past the Giants’ defense, each ending up back in the dugout. The Giants responded strongly in their half, almost threatening to score, but Juan Mejia managed to get us through the first unscathed. 💪

Giants Pulling Ahead

Despite our best efforts, the game’s momentum shifted in the bottom of the second when the Giants stacked up three runs. Kudos to Antonio Senzatela for battling on the mound, but it was Wilmer Flores, LaMonte Wade Jr., and Sam Huff who combined to give the Giants an early lead. Our bats fell silent through the subsequent innings, with solid hits eluding us.

Rockies Struggle and Giants Secure the Win

Despite efforts from our roster, including late-game pitching by our relievers struggling to keep the Giants scoreless after the third inning, it was Matt Chapman's 418-foot homer in the third that sealed the deal for San Francisco. We sent Mickey Moniak and Nick Martini into the game to freshen up the lineup, but the Giants’ pitching staff skillfully shut down any threat from our side. ⚾

Looking Forward

As Rockies fans, we feel the disappointment, but know the fight’s in us. Our boys will regroup and come back stronger. Let’s keep supporting them, knowing another win is just around the corner. 🌟 Go Rockies!
