Rockies Triumph with Late-Inning Heroics

Early Struggles but Steady Progress
The game started quietly with a few innings of grounded outs and missed opportunities.

Come the fifth inning, Kyle Karros and Yanquiel Fernandez showcased timely hits to help Braxton Fulford bring Karros home, making it 3-2. Unfortunately, the Cardinals came back strong in the bottom half with a two-run homer from Alec Burleson, increasing their lead to 5-2.
Rockies Rally and Resilience
Mickey Moniak's solo homer in the sixth brought us closer to 5-3. Our bullpen held strong through the sixth with Anderson and Hill shutting down the Cardinals' chances. We stayed within reach when Fulford's sacrifice fly in the seventh scored Kyle Karros, cutting their lead to just one run (5-4).
The eighth inning saw the Rockies building rally potential with hits from Tyler Freeman and Jordan Beck, but no runs were added. Our bullpen continued its exceptional work in the eighth, striking out hitters and building the tension for the final showdown.
Heart-Stopping Ninth Inning
The final inning was nothing short of spectacular. After Karros drew a walk, Hunter Goodman, pinch-hitting, crushed a mammoth two-run homer to center field (436 feet), suddenly turning the game on its head with a 6-5 lead for the Rockies!

With the heart pounding and victory in sight, closer Vodnik made quick work of the Cardinals in the ninth, sealing our amazing comeback win. The Rockies showed resilience and determination, making us proud fans yet again.
