Rockies' Electrifying Start

What a way to kick off the game! 🎉 The Colorado Rockies set the tone for the night in a big way during the top of the 1st inning. After Jordan Beck grounded out, Tyler Freeman kept hopes alive with a single to right and a swift steal to second. Then came the moment of magic as Hunter Goodman smacked a two-run homer to left center, sending Freeman home. A round of applause for Goodman who truly got things swinging!

Ups and Downs

The Nationals began to chip away at our lead, with Daylen Lile and James Wood bringing the heat to put them ahead 4-3 by the end of the 5th inning. It was tense, to say the least, but we've been here before. Ryan McMahon struggled at the plate, striking out both swinging and looking, which was disappointing. But, our belief never wavered!

Thrilling Comeback in the 9th

The Rocks showed the heart of a champion, staging an epic comeback in the top of the 9th! 💪 Goodman leveled the score with his second home run of the game – a colossal 400-footer that shifted the momentum. With the game tied at 4-4, the anticipation was palpable. Mickey Moniak stepped up and cranked a clutch homer to right, bringing in Sam Hilliard for two more runs, securing the lead at 6-4. What a powerhouse finish!

Securing the Victory

The bottom of the 9th was where the Rockies sealed the deal. An outstanding defensive play saw House hit into a double play, wiping out Luis Garcia Jr. at second. Special shoutout to our pitching and fielding crew for managing the Nationals’ offense and maintaining that two-run cushion. Josh Bell grounded out to first for the final out, giving us the victory we so deserved. What a game, Rockies fans! Onward and upward! 🎊
