A Tough Day at Camden Yards

Fellow Tigers fans, today was a tough one to digest 😓. Our boys faced off against the Orioles, but things didn't quite swing in our favor. We started the game with high hopes, but unfortunately, we couldn't get our bats going for most of the afternoon. We went down in order in the first inning without a base runner, and the struggle to connect didn't end there.

A Bright Spot in the Seventh

Finally, in the top of the 7th inning, Spencer Torkelson and Wenceel Pérez sparked a little hope with back-to-back singles, followed by Colt Keith smashing a double to right field to score Torkelson ⚾. It was a glimmer of life for our Tigers, and the energy from that moment was excellent. But alas, we weren't able to capitalize further as the inning closed with us scoring just that lone run.

Orioles Seize Control

As tough as it was to see, the bottom of the 8th was where the wheels came off. The Orioles put up a 7-run inning 😩. We watched their bats light up the park with a combination of strategic base running and key hits, including a home run from Jordan Westburg that seemed to put the game out of reach.

Despite the overwhelming result of 10-1 in favor of the Orioles, our Tigers fought hard, and there will be better games ahead. Let's keep our heads up, fans. Better days are coming for our beloved Detroit Tigers. Next game, let's show them who we really are! 🐯🔵🟠
