Tigers Dominate Reds in 5-1 Victory! 🐅⚾

Hey Tigers fans! What a game we had against the Reds! Our boys came out on top with a solid 5-1 win, showcasing some excellent plays and stellar pitching. Let's break it down inning by inning.

Pelletier Starts Off Scoreless

Both teams were feeling each other out initially. The first two innings were a bit of a stalemate. We got some singles from Mark Canha and Gio Urshela, but we're unfortunately held scoreless. Our pitchers were cruising too and kept the Reds off the scoreboard.

Putting the Pressure On

Things picked up in the 4th inning when Wenceel Pérez singled to right, followed by another Urshela single, and Zach McKinstry breaking the deadlock with a single to left, bringing Pérez home. The Reds had no answer as our pitchers continued to dominate. Tarik Skubal was dealing, folks!

Late Game Action & Insurance Runs 🎉

Moving to the 7th, Matt Vierling doubled to left, and Colt Keith brought in Jake Rogers to make it 2-0. Despite a brief scare in the bottom half with a Reds' error that allowed them to score, our defense held strong.

The 8th inning was when we really put the game away. A clutch error by the Reds' Noelvi Marte allowed Urshela to reach first, and then McKinstry blasted a two-run homer to right center! Rogers and Parker Meadows added more to the plate. Rogers scored off Meadows' single to make it a comfortable 5-1 lead.

Closing Time 🌟

In the 9th, Alex Faedo took over and made sure there were no late surprises. He struck out Jeimer Candelario, and after allowing a double, he finished off the Reds by getting Marte to ground out. Tigers win 5-1! It was a team effort, with the pitching and defense stepping up big time, and our bats coming alive when it mattered most.

So proud of our Tigers; let’s keep this momentum going! Next up, let’s roar our way to another victory! 🐯🔊
