Tigers Offense Comes Alive Early

The Detroit Tigers pulled off a great 3-1 win over the Houston Astros today! ☀️ Our boys wasted no time getting on the board in the top of the 2nd inning. After back-to-back singles by Wenceel Pérez and Jake Rogers (who has been clutch lately), Trey Sweeney and Matt Vierling added back-to-back RBIs to give us a quick 3-0 lead.

Solid Pitching Keeps the Astros in Check

Our pitchers were absolute 🔥 today! Not only did we keep the Astros scoreless for eight innings, but the pitching was lights out in critical situations. Whether it was Skubal from the start or the bullpen arms like Vest, Holton, and Foley, they all delivered under pressure. Even though Houston tried to make it interesting in the bottom of the 9th, the pitching staff held strong. It was a nail-biter, but Brieske slammed the door shut, leaving the Astros with only one run. 🙌

Key Moments and Standout Performances

While the early 3-run lead was fantastic, there were key moments throughout the game that stood out. Parker Meadows' speed on the bases created opportunities, and Sweeney and Vierling's clutch hits ensured those opportunities were cashed in. On the mound, big shoutouts to Tarik Skubal for setting the tone early and Brieske for getting that huge final out with the bases loaded. 🏆

What a game, Tigers fans! Let's keep this momentum going! 🐯💙
