An Electric Start at The K ⚾️

Fellow Royals fans, even though the final result wasn't in our favor, we started this game with some serious fireworks 🌟! Mike Yastrzemski led off the bottom of the 1st by blasting a solo homer to right-center, an absolute moonshot at 432 feet. 🥳 Then, Bobby Witt Jr. singled and was set up for a spectacular 387-foot two-run blast by Maikel Garcia to left-center, pushing us up 3-0 early. It was a powerful way to kick off the game, and I had every expectation we'd carry that momentum through.

Fighting Back and Stellar Defense

Our early lead was compromised a bit too soon, as the Tigers clawed their way back in the 2nd, thanks to Carpenter's RBI single. Riley Greene kept things tight with a two-RBI double in the 4th, shifting the score to 4-3 in their favor. They really couldn't tame our spirit though! Our pitchers consistently came through with key strikeouts—Zerpa, Bowlan, and Clarke displayed their mettle on the mound with crucial Ks. 💪 We stymied many of their attempts to build on their lead.

Valiant Effort but Tough Finish 😩

As much as the Royals hustled for that comeback—especially with Frazier and Massey hustling to put the pressure on the bases—our bats couldn't quite get those crucial hits late in the game. The Tigers' Dillon Dingler added insult to injury with a solo homer in the 8th. Our chances dwindled in the 9th as we fell to a double play that dashed our hopes of a rally. Despite the loss, it's heartening to see our guys fight hard and put on a show. On to the next game, Royals Fam! We'll get back on top! 💙💛
