Tough Day at the Plate
Hey Royals fans, what a nail-biter of a game we had today! Unfortunately, Kansas City fell to the Detroit Tigers in a close 1-0 game. We kept hoping for that big hit to shift the momentum, but it just wasn't in the cards for us today
Strong Pitching Performance
Despite the lack of offense, I must say our pitching was on point pretty much all game. Kudos to Kris Bubic for keeping the Tigers' bats at bay through six innings. It was a shame that a wild pitch allowed Zach McKinstry to score all the way from third, marking the only run of the game. Our bullpen, led by Ángel Zerpa, did a clean job thereafter in keeping Detroit from extending their lead. There was plenty of heart out on the mound today.

Close Calls and Key Moments
We had our chances. Remember the double by Bobby Witt Jr. in the fifth? It was so close to sparking something big — my heart was racing! And how about John Rave managing to reach base multiple times today? Actually, Drew Waters did well too, but that double play hurt, didn’t it? In the eighth, Dairon Blanco came in as a pinch runner after Salvy singled, and you just had to feel like it was our inning... alas, the baseball gods did not smile upon us today.Chin up, Royals fans! There’s always the next game. Let's keep that Royal spirit high and root for our boys to bounce back in the upcoming match-ups!
