A Tough Loss for the Phillies
Well, folks, the Phillies put up a great fight, but unfortunately, it wasn't enough as we fell to the Tigers with a final score of 7-5.
Early Struggles and a Strong Opponent
The Tigers' Colt Keith and Kerry Carpenter set the tone early in the 3rd inning with back-to-back home runs, establishing a 2-0 lead. Our bats were cold through the first half of the game, and we were unable to get on base consistently. The Tigers added to their lead in the 7th thanks to home runs from Javier Báez and Gleyber Torres, extending it to 5-0.The Phillies Fight Back
The 7th inning breathed life into Citizens Bank Park. Our beloved Bryce Harper and J.T. Realmuto ignited the comeback, with Nick Castellanos delivering a crucial two-run homer to narrow the score to 5-3. In the 8th inning, Harper rounded the bases once more with a two-run blast, bringing us within just two runs of tying the game.Ninth-Inning Disappointment
However, the 9th inning left hearts broken as the Phillies couldn't muster any more magic at the plate. Our final chance to turn the game around slipped away, with both Bryson Stott and Harrison Bader unable to deliver those critical hits. The fans were chanting, the atmosphere was electric, but ultimately, the Tigers closed out the game successfully. On to the next battle for our Phillies!

Here's hoping for a bounce-back victory in the next one! Let's keep the faith, Philly fans!
