Tough Day at the Office for the Tigers
Hey Tigers fans!
Pirates Get the Jump Early
The Pirates took an early lead thanks to a solo home run from Andrew McCutchen in the 1st inning. They followed it up with a big play in the 2nd inning when Spencer Horwitz hit a grand slam to expand their lead to 5-0. By the 3rd inning, Bryan Reynolds further added to our woes by scoring on a sacrifice fly, making it 6-0.Struggles at the Plate
Our Tigers couldn't get much going offensively. Gleyber Torres and Jahmai Jones both had grounding outs early in the game, and we struggled to capitalize on any base hits. Wenceel Perez finally got us on the board in the 4th inning with a single to left, but we couldn't convert that effort into runs.Tigers Show Some Fight
The 7th inning brought a glimmer of hope. Spencer Torkelson doubled to left, and then Matt Vierling singled to right, allowing Torkelson to score and reduce the deficit to 6-1. However, our bats remained quiet for the remainder of the game.Final Thoughts and Looking Ahead
While it was a tough loss today, there's always another game to bounce back. Let's keep the spirits high and continue to support our Tigers as they look to improve and come back stronger in the next match-up!Keep believing, Tigers Nation!
