Tough Loss for the Mariners Against the Tigers

The game started off as a pitching duel with neither side able to get any runs on the board through the first three innings. Our infielders were making plays, and both teams struggled to get on base. Victor Robles had a single in the bottom of the first, but that was all we could muster early on.Tigers Strike First ️
In the top of the 4th, the Tigers broke the ice. Parker Meadows singled to center, bringing in Wenceel Pérez to score the first run. We couldn't answer back in our half of the inning, and the Tigers took the lead 1-0.Home Run by Raley!
The Tigers added two more runs in the 5th, but Luke Raley put us on the board with a solo shot to center field, a 407-foot bomb to make it 3-1. However, we still trailed heading into the later innings.Late-Inning Struggles
We struggled to build momentum offensively, and in the 8th, the Tigers' Parker Meadows homered to right, extending their lead to 4-1. Things were looking tough, but we never gave up!9th Inning Rally Falls Short
In the bottom of the 9th, we showed some fight. Cal Raleigh walked, and Cade Marlowe pinch-hit for Justin Turner, advancing Raleigh to second. Jorge Polanco singled to center, bringing in Marlowe to make it 4-2, giving us a glimmer of hope. However, Mitch Garver struck out swinging to end the game.Looking Forward
While it wasn't the result we wanted, there were some bright spots. Huge props to Luke Raley for his homer and Jorge Polanco for driving in that run late. The Tigers' pitchers were tough, but we'll bounce back next game! Keep the faith, Mariners fans! ️Go Mariners!
