Pitching Duel to Start

The game began as a pitcher's duel, with both teams unable to score in the first three innings. Our guys were out quickly with Wenceel Pérez, Colt Keith, and Matt Vierling unable to get on base in the top of the 1st. On the flip side, our pitchers were dealing too, getting the Blue Jays out in order. 💪

Tigers Strike First!

The offense finally came alive in the top of the 4th inning! Riley Greene drove in Matt Vierling with a single before Mark Canha crushed a two-run homer bringing home Greene. We took a solid 3-0 lead. 🙌

Blue Jays' Quick Response

The 6th inning saw the Blue Jays clawing back. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit a two-run homer, cutting our lead to 3-2. Thankfully, our guys managed to minimize the damage with Will Vest coming in to provide relief.

Adding Insurance Runs

We hit back in the top of the 7th! Gio Urshela got on base with a single, and then Wenceel Pérez came through with a clutch two-run homer to give us a 5-2 lead. 🏆

Blue Jays' Late Push

Things got tight in the bottom of the 8th when George Springer hit a two-run homer for the Blue Jays, making it a one-run game at 5-4. Credit to our bullpen for stepping up, especially Jason Foley who got the crucial outs we needed.

Closing It Out

The 9th inning was nerve-wracking. Andrew Chafin and Tyler Holton came in to shut down the Blue Jays with three quick outs. Varsho, Kirk, and Clement all went down to secure our 5-4 win! 🎉

Final Thoughts

What a game, Tigers fans! Our team showed resilience and came through in clutch moments. Major props to Mark Canha and Wenceel Pérez for their big hits, and our bullpen for closing it out. Let's keep this momentum going! Go Tigers! 🐯💙
