A Gritty Start
The game began with the Houston Astros getting on the board early when Jose Altuve homered to left field, giving us a scare right off the bat . Despite the rocky start, our ace settled down, and we managed to get out of the inning without further damage.Battling Through Tough Odds
The next few innings were a pitching duel with both teams struggling to get runners home. Adley Rutschman and Ramon Urías both had hits, but we couldn't capitalize as we kept hitting into double plays or striking out. It was a frustrating series of innings, but you could feel that the tide was about to turn.Big Sixth Inning Comeback!
The pivotal moment arrived in the 6th inning. After Jeremy Peña extended the Astros' lead with a homer, our boys didn't lose heart. Adley Rutschman grounded out, but then Gunnar Henderson got on base followed by a Eloy Jimenez single. With the bases loaded, our pinch hitter Jackson Holliday came through in a big way. He doubled to center, clearing the bases and giving us a 3-2 lead!Locking It Down
The bullpen really came through for us. Cionel Akin and Yennier Cano held the Astros scoreless, and the defense was tight. There were a couple of close calls, but in the 9th inning, Felix Domínguez came in to close it out. Three up, three down, with Jon Singleton striking out swinging to end it. Game, set, match!Final Thoughts
What a rollercoaster! Today showed the grit and determination of this Orioles squad. Adley Rutschman and Jackson Holliday were absolute standouts, and the pitching staff kept their cool under pressure. This is the kind of win that builds momentum.
