Hot Start by Altuve!
The game couldn't have started any better when Jose Altuve blasted a home run to left field, giving our Astros an early 1-0 lead in the 1st inning. Unfortunately, our hopes for an early rally were halted as Alex Bregman, Yainer Diaz, and Jeremy Peña failed to get on base, but the tone was set.Pitcher's Duel
For the next few innings, it was all about the pitchers. Both teams struggled to make contact, with strikeouts and groundouts dominating the play-by-play. Our guys, Victor Caratini, Jake Meyers, and Ben Gamel, all struck out in the 2nd inning, making it clear that it was going to be a tough battle.Peña Joins the Party
Just as the game seemed to be dwindling down into a pitching showdown, Jeremy Peña made a statement in the 6th inning by sending another pitch over the fences, extending our lead to 2-0. Cheers to Peña for stepping up!Sixth Inning Stumble
Our lead didn't last long, as the Orioles found momentum in the bottom of the 6th. A series of hits culminated in a bases-clearing double by Holliday. Suddenly, the Orioles were up 3-2, a lead they wouldn’t relinquish.Failed Attempts to Rally
Despite a few scattered singles from Bregman, Gamel, and Diaz, we couldn’t muster up the necessary offense to reclaim the lead. It was a tough go, and every out seemed more crucial than the last.Tough Finish
The bottom of the 8th and the top of the 9th went by without any significant action for us. Reliever DomÃnguez shut the door in the 9th inning, getting Jon Singleton, Victor Caratini, and Jake Meyers out in order to end the game.Final Score: Astros 2, Orioles 3. Despite the early fireworks, we couldn’t hold onto our lead, but let's keep our heads up and look forward to the next one!
