A Strong Start, But a Tough Finish
Well, Astros fans, this was a rollercoaster of emotions! We kicked off the game with some fireworks as Christian Walker sent a two-run homer to left center, putting us on the board early with a score of 2-0.
The Red Sox Fight Back
Unfortunately, the Red Sox answered quickly with a home run of their own from Romy Gonzalez. Despite some great efforts, like Taylor Trammell and Ramon Urias each getting hits, we couldn’t extend our lead. Boston capitalized in the bottom of the 3rd with a three-run rally spearheaded by Trevor Story’s two-run homer, pushing them ahead 4-2.Missed Opportunities and Final Push
As we moved into the game, our bats struggled to find rhythm against Boston’s rotating bullpen. Mauricio Dubon tried to ignite a rally in the 8th with a single, and Jose Altuve kept fighting with a late-game single, keeping hopes alive. Unfortunately, Walker and Caratini couldn't quite stitch together the necessary rally in the 9th to mount a comeback, and the Sox capitalized on our missed chances. Despite our hustle, the final score rested at a too-familiar 7-3 in Boston’s favor.
Even with the loss, there were signs of power and potential that we can lean on moving forward. Let's rally behind our team and look ahead!
