Astros Start Strong
Well, Astros fans, we got ourselves a nail-biter, but our boys in orange and blue pulled through with a 4-3 victory over the Guardians! The game kicked off with Jeremy Peña grounding out, but then Kyle Tucker singled to right, followed by Victor Caratini's single, putting runners on the corners. Jon Singleton flew out, but Zach Dezenzo brought in Tucker with a single. We had the bases loaded after Jason Heyward walked, but Mauricio Dubón flied out, leaving us at 1-0.Guardians Fight Back but Astros Reciprocate
The Guardians didn't waste time retaliating. Will Brennan doubled, and José RamÃrez hammered a homer to put them up 2-1. But our Astros weren't having it. In the top of the 2nd, Jake Meyers singled, Grae Kessinger got hit by a pitch, and with the bases loaded, Jon Singleton's walk tied the game. An error allowed Caratini and Kessinger to score, giving us a 4-2 lead.Pitching and Defense Hold the Line
After that, our pitching and defense stepped up. José RamÃrez added a run on a sac fly in the 3rd, but our pitchers buckled down. Justin Verlander, Héctor Neris, and Ryan Pressly kept their bats quiet. Despite some close calls, like RamÃrez's 8th inning double, our guys held the line.Closing It Out in Style
The 9th saw Ronel Blanco take the mound for the final three outs, and he didn't disappoint. Bo Naylor flied out and both Jhonkensy Noel and Brayan Rocchio struck out looking, sealing the game at 4-3!It's always exciting to watch our Astros edge out these close games. Let's keep this momentum going, Astros Nation!
