Astros Get Started Early

The game got off to a hot start for the Astros as we saw our boys take a quick lead in the top of the first inning. Jake Meyers reached on an infield single and Jose Altuve followed up with a single to left, advancing Meyers. Cam Smith then sent a beautiful double to right field, bringing Meyers home and moving Altuve to third. Christian Walker followed with a groundout that allowed Altuve to score, putting the Astros up 2-0. A strong start indeed! 🔥

A Back-And-Forth Battle

The Rockies fought back in the bottom of the first with Thairo Estrada hammering a homer to left, scoring two runs and leveling the game 2-2. Not to be outdone, our boys regained the lead in the top of the second, with Isaac Paredes doubling to center, allowing Cooper Hummel to score. An inning later, though, the Rockies clawed back and tied the game again, highlighting the back-and-forth nature of the game.

Astros Fight Hard But Fall Short

In the pivotal seventh inning, Cam Smith showed some grit, tripling to left and driving in two runs to tie the game 5-5! However, the Rockies edged ahead again in the bottom of the inning, scoring twice more. Despite a rally attempt in the 9th, with Jake Meyers tripling and scoring thanks to Altuve's groundout, the Astros fell just short, losing 7-6.

This was an intense game where our boys showcased their resilience and power! Though the result wasn't quite what we hoped for, it's clear that the Astros never give up. Let's keep the spirits up for the next encounter! 💪🧡⚾
