Tough Battle at the K Against Houston Astros
What a day for our Kansas City boys, facing off against the formidable Houston Astros. Although we displayed some promising moments, it just wasn't enough to overcome Houston's powerful lineup. It's always a joy seeing the boys in blue give their best for us fans!
Astros Build an Early Lead
Things got rough in the 3rd inning when Yordan Alvarez sent one over the center-field wall, bringing in three runs. Later on, a couple of crucial hits in the 5th and 6th innings extended the Astros' lead. By the time we reached the 7th inning stretch, the Astros were up 7-1, showcasing their offensive prowess.
Royals Fight Back!
Down but not out, our Royals showed heart! Jonathan India was in fine form today, contributing with a single and a sacrifice fly to put us on the board in the 5th and 7th innings respectively. Drew Waters provided a ray of hope in the 9th by tripling to score Maikel Garcia. Although the score ended at 7-3 in favor of the Astros, we're proud of our team's fighting spirit and are hopeful for future successes!
