Tough Battle in Anaheim
Our Los Angeles Angels put on a fierce display against the Houston Astros but ultimately fell just short in a nail-biting extra-innings showdown. The final score was 3-2 in favor of the Astros, and while it wasn't the outcome we hoped for, it was an incredible game to watch!
Home Run Highlights
The game began with the Astros jumping to a quick lead, thanks to back-to-back homers by Jeremy Peña and Isaac Paredes in the top of the 1st inning. Not to be outdone, our very own Jo Adell hit a monster home run to center field in the bottom of the 4th, cutting the deficit to 2-1 and igniting the enthusiasm of Angels fans everywhere.
Then, in the bottom of the 7th, Christian Moore launched a solo shot to the center as well, tying the game at 2-2 and getting the crowd on their feet! 
Extra Innings Drama
The game remained tied until extra innings. In the top of the 10th, the Astros managed to sneak in a run on a wild pitch by Hunter Strickland, bringing the score to 3-2. Despite our Angels' best efforts, including solid hits by Zach Neto and Nolan Schanuel, we couldn't mount another comeback in the bottom of the inning. A huge shoutout to Reid Detmers for his strong relief performance in the 8th, keeping us in the game!
Final Thoughts
It was a hard-fought game, and while we didn’t get the W, the Angels showed tremendous heart and resilience. This is the kind of competitive spirit that keeps us so passionate about our team. Can't wait to see the Angels bounce back stronger in the next game! Let's keep our heads high, Angels fans. We believe!
