Disappointing Loss for the Halos
Last night's game against the Astros was a tough one for the Angels. It started with a scoreless first inning, but by the second inning, the Astros took the lead, scoring two runs thanks to a walk and a sacrifice fly. Despite a strong start, our boys couldn't quite come back from it.
Schanuel and Moniak Provided Spark
In the third inning, Nolan Schanuel singled and later scored, putting us on the board. Mickey Moniak also shined with a solo homer in the fourth inning, which brought us a bit closer. But unfortunately, the offense struggled to find continuity after that. Moniak's homer to right center was an absolute beauty, traveling 393 feet!

Astros' Pitching Sealed Our Fate
The Astros' bullpen was formidable. Every time we seemed to gain some momentum, their pitchers shut us down. By the time we reached the ninth inning, we were still trailing, and a homer by Yordan Alvarez in the top half of the inning made it even tougher. Despite efforts from Logan O'Hoppe and others, we couldn't get past Josh Hader’s closing performance.Looking Forward
This was a tough loss for the Halos, but let's keep the faith! There were some promising moments, especially from Schanuel and Moniak, that show what this team is capable of. We've got more games ahead, and I believe in our boys to turn it around. Keep rooting for the Angels!
