A Tough Night for the Dodgers in LA
Well folks, tonight was a rough one for our Los Angeles Dodgers. We hosted the Houston Astros at home, and despite our promising start, we ended up falling to them with a final score of 5-1. Let's break down this game and see where it all went sideways.

A Promising Start
Initially, things looked bright thanks to Dalton Rushing driving in a run in the 2nd inning with a clutch double that got Michael Conforto home. This gave us an early 1-0 lead, and hopes were high! Mookie Betts was doing work with a single to center as well, showing why he's a fan favorite.
Astros Fight Back
The Astros tied the game in the top of the 3rd when Jose Altuve hit a sacrifice fly, which was a bit of a bummer. By the 6th inning, things started to unravel—we gave up a run from a bases-loaded walk, putting the Astros ahead 2-1. These kinds of mistakes are tough to swallow.
Trouble in the Late Innings
The 8th inning is where the Astros really poured it on. Christian Walker hit a homer followed by another blast from Yainer Diaz, extending their lead to 4-1. And just when we thought it couldn't get worse, Jose Altuve added another homer in the 9th to push it to 5-1. Our relief pitchers, including Scott and Trivino, really had their work cut out for them.
A Night to Forget
Despite the loss, there was a bit of sunshine with solid at-bats from Dalton Rushing and some good defensive plays. But in the end, the Dodgers couldn't seem to get the momentum needed to rally back in the later innings. Let's hope for a different outcome next time as we continue to battle through the season. Let's go, Dodgers!
