A Game of Ups and Downs
Hey Twins fans!
What an emotional ride today's game was against the Houston Astros at Target Field. We witnessed an electrifying performance by our boys, with an ending that left us all in high spirits.Rough Start, Stellar Finish
The game kicked off with a bit of a sting as Jose Altuve launched a solo homer in the very first inning, putting the Astros up 1-0. It felt like a rocky start as our batters struggled through the first couple of innings without a score. But then, the 4th inning arrived, and what a turnaround it was!
Byron Buxton, showing great tenacity, got our offense moving after being hit by a pitch and promptly stealing second. Ty France took advantage of a fielding error with a single, bringing Buxton home and leveling the game. The real fireworks came when Jose Miranda smashed a three-run homer to left center, putting us ahead 4-1! A special shoutout to Christian Vázquez and Matt Wallner for their back-to-back clutch performance, pushing our lead to 6-1.

Our pitchers deserve a huge round of applause.
After the initial hiccup, the pitching combined by Louie Varland, Cole Sands, Jhoan Duran, and others were lights out, maintaining a grip on the Astros' lineup. The relentless attack from the mound ensured the Astros scored no further runs. Today’s victory is a testament to the spirit and resilience of our team.
