Tough Loss for the Astros 
Fellow Astros fans, it was a tough night for our boys in Houston as we fell to the Oakland Athletics 8-2. The game started with promising hits, but ultimately, the A's bats were too much for us to handle.Early Innings Recap
In the top of the 1st, Alex Bregman doubled to left, followed by a single from Yordan Alvarez, putting runners on the corners. Unfortunately, a double play ended our early threat. The A's responded quickly with a two-run homer from Brent Rooker, putting us behind 2-0 right out of the gate.The Astros' lone bright spot early came in the top of the 3rd inning when Victor Caratini hit a towering homer to center field, cutting the deficit to 2-1. But the A's answered back immediately with a solo shot from Lawrence Butler in the bottom half, extending their lead to 3-1.
Middle Innings and A's Power Surge
We struggled to find our rhythm offensively as innings 4 through 6 saw limited action from our side. Jeremy Peña reached on an infield single in the 5th but was left stranded. The A's, however, capitalized in the 4th with back-to-back homers from Seth Brown and Zack Gelof, pushing their lead to 5-1.Despite a few hits here and there, we couldn't mount a significant rally. Yordan Alvarez doubled in the 6th, but again we couldn't bring him home.
Closing Moments
The A's continued to pile on the runs with a run-scoring double from Lawrence Butler and a solo homer from Shea Langeliers. Down 8-1 heading into the 9th, Jeremy Peña managed to add a solo homer, giving us a slight glimmer of hope. However, it was too little too late, despite singles from Jake Meyers and Victor Caratini. The game ended with Joey Loperfido grounding out to first.Final Thoughts
It’s tough to see our Astros face such challenges, but we know this team has the resilience to bounce back. Let's keep supporting our boys and look forward to better games ahead. Always proud to be an Astros fan!
