Tough Loss in a Tense Extra-Innings Battle
Mariners fans, grab your tissues because this one was a nail-biter!
Last night's showdown with the Houston Astros had us on the edges of our seats. The game was deadlocked, going into not one, but twelve innings before we sadly fell 2-1. Pitching Duel and Stubborn Defenses
The game opened with both teams struggling to make a breakthrough. No runs were scored through the regular innings, as both teams demonstrated stellar pitching and defense work. Dylan Moore had a tough time in the game with a costly error that allowed the Astros to take the lead in the 7th inning. We saw excellent efforts from Julio RodrÃguez, who managed a walk and stole second in the 3rd inning, but it just wasn't enough to convert into a score.Equalizer and Heartbreaker
Our Mitch Garver managed to get on base in the 7th inning, and with some swift moves, Luke Raley hit an infield single allowing Garver to score and level the field at 1-1. The crowd went wild! However, despite our guys' valiant efforts, Victor Caratini from the Astros drove in a dagger run in the 12th inning. Alas, even with a daring attempt by Miles Mastrobuoni as a pinch hitter, we couldn't convert it into a walk-off.Keep your heads up, Mariners fans! Despite the heartbreak, our team fought bravely.
