Tough Day for the Astros Offense 😔

Hey Astros fans! Another day, another game, but unfortunately not the result we were hoping for as we faced the Seattle Mariners. Our bats were pretty silent today, with the only sign of life in the 8th inning thanks to a clutch double by Isaac Paredes, which brought home Brice Matthews. Despite the effort, it was the lone run the Astros managed to scrape together against a dominant Mariners pitching lineup.

Pitcher's Duel Early On âš¾

Up until the 4th inning, it was a tight contest with neither side managing to put runs on the board. In the Top 1st, there was a moment when Isaac Paredes walked, and Cam Smith reached second on an error, but unfortunately, José Altuve and Christian Walker couldn't capitalize. Our guys had some tough outings at the plate, with Altuve striking out three times throughout the game.

A Clutch Rally Cut Short 💔

The Mariners broke the deadlock in the bottom of the 4th with a solo home run by Randy Arozarena over left center. Later in the 8th inning, our opposition showed no mercy, scoring four more runs despite great relief efforts by Héctor Neris and Andrew Bellatti.

While today wasn't our day, let's not forget the standout moments and have hope! Trammell managed a walk today, showing patience at the plate, and our defense was solid in parts—just a few things to build on for next time. ⚾

Chins up, folks! Let's look forward to the next game! Go 'Stros! 💪
